3D T-Rex animation shows stress effects on bones and muscles. Highlighted by color (red = high stress), it demonstrates weight shifts during movement and provides biomechanical insights into dinosaur locomotion. |
This is a 3D animation of a T-Rex, showcasing the effects of stress on its bones and muscles. The colors in the image indicate areas of high or low stress, with red indicating areas under extreme stress. The simulation demonstrates how the stresses acting upon the dinosaur's body affect its bone structure. When it runs, each foot takes turns bearing weight, allowing one leg to rest while another is in motion. This dynamic system enables the T-Rex to maintain stability and generate power for running. The animation highlights the importance of understanding biomechanics when studying dinosaurs. By analyzing the stresses acting on their bodies, researchers can gain insights into how they moved and interacted with their environment. |
