Perforated "Swiss cheese" brown leaf of a sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) among dry willow oak leaves on a sandy path in Lick Creek Park. The leaf is a Sycamore skeleton. The holes were started by Anthracnose (fungus) and Lace Bugs (insects) attacking the living leaf, and then finished off by winter decomposition that ate away the dead tissue but left the tough veins behind.
