The image captures a captivating view of the Old City near Zion Gate in Jerusalem on March 1, 2001. The photograph is taken from ground level and looks up at an angle towards the right side of the frame.
In the foreground, part of a stone wall with two arched windows is visible. Above the windows, the wall continues to rise, interrupted by a short section that ends just below the top edge of the image.
Beyond this point, a larger stone structure dominates the scene. It features an arched window on its right side and a small dome near the center. A tall cylindrical tower rises from this structure's left flank, topped with a flat roof and supported by four metal railings that encircle it.
