View of Alps(?) from a plane from Tel Aviv to Paris
Album 279: Jerusalem, Lifta - Paris, July 5 - 20, 2002
The image depicts an aerial view of snow-capped mountains, likely the Alps, as viewed from a plane traveling from Tel Aviv to Paris on July 19th, 2002.
In the foreground, the winglets and wings of the airplane are visible at the bottom left and right corners of the image. The dark blue sky is dotted with white clouds around the mountain peaks. Shadows cast by the sun stretch across the lower mountainsides, creating a gradient effect from light to shadow. The snow-covered peaks of the Alps rise sharply out of the lower valleys.
The lighting in the image suggests that it was taken during late morning or early afternoon when the sun is high enough to cast long shadows on the western slopes of the mountain range.

– French translation
