The image shows two separate scenes of a cannon being fired by men dressed as Confederate soldiers during an artillery reenactment event.
In the top scene, three men are visible: one is facing away from the camera and holding a ramrod with his left hand while wearing a red hat with a black feather. He has dark hair and wears a brown vest over a plaid shirt, khaki pants, and black boots. The second man is crouched down behind him; he's wearing a black hat, white gloves, a tan jacket with red trim, and black pants. His face is obscured by smoke from the cannon. The third man stands to the right of the first man, facing away from the camera. He wears a gray cap and a brown vest over a plaid shirt.
In the bottom scene, one man is visible. He's wearing white pants, a gray jacket with red trim, and a tan hat. He holds a black ramrod in his left hand while he looks through an eyepiece at the cannon's muzzle. The background of both scenes appears to be a field of dead grass.
