The image shows a large field of desert gourds scattered across it. The desert gourds are spherical and have a rough, bumpy texture that is characteristic of them when they are mature. They range from about the size of tennis balls to baseballs in diameter.
They are all lying on their sides or bottoms. There appears to be a few shrubs here and there as well as a small cluster of tumbleweeds. The ground itself is dry and sandy, which suggests that it may not get much water here. Some areas have more sand than others.
