This can be seen in the striations where the white of the shell have been smoothed down, and dark brown areas which are rougher due to the shape of the shell. In the center of the image there is a cluster of green mangrove seeds that appear to have been washed up from the sea by the tide. These seeds are attached to long thin stems and the top has broken off, leaving only the bulbous seed attached to the stem.
The ground appears to be sandy with small pieces of shells scattered around.
