Praying angel on a tomb of a Baylor University ...

The image presents a dual composition of two photographs featuring a weathered praying angel statue situated on the tombstone of Mary Drennan, a Baylor University student who passed away in 1901. The top photograph depicts the angel in natural light, while the bottom one captures it under 365 nm ultraviolet (UV-A) blacklight.

**Top Photograph: Natural Light**

* **Angel Statue:** The praying angel statue is crafted from marble and exhibits heavy weathering on its surface.
* Weathering appears as greenish discoloration, particularly noticeable on the head and wings of the angel.
* **Tombstone:** The tombstone bears an inscription dedicated to Mary Drennan, indicating her passing in 1901 at a relatively young age for that era (19 years old).
* The tombstone is adorned with a bouquet of flowers, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design.

**Bottom Photograph: UV-A Blacklight**

* **Angel Statue:** Under the 365 nm ultraviolet (UV-A) blacklight, the angel statue reveals a striking visual effect.
* The greenish discoloration on the surface becomes more pronounced and vibrant, creating an otherworldly appearance.
* This phenomenon is likely due to the presence of fluorescent minerals or substances in the marble that react to UV light.
* **Tombstone:** As with the natural light photograph, the tombstone remains unchanged under UV-A blacklight.

**Overall Impression**

The two photographs provide a unique contrast between the angel statue's appearance in natural light and under UV-A blacklight. While the natural light image showcases the weathered surface of the marble, the UV-A blacklight image reveals a vibrant and almost neon-like effect, adding an ethereal quality to the scene. – AI vision
