Interior of St. Peter and St. Paul's Cathedral (Peeter-Pauli katedraal), located at Vene 18. This is the main cathedral for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tallinn and one of the few Catholic churches in a predominantly Protestant and secular country. The church was built between 1841 and 1844 on the walls of the former refectory (dining hall) of the medieval St. Catherine's Monastery. The Neoclassical façade and twin towers were added later in the 1920s by architects Erich Jacoby and Franz de Vries.
