Frost rimmed back lit oak leaf in Lick Creek ParkLick Creek: Background Notes. College Station, Texas
Album 1133: College Station, Texas, January 15 - 17, 2013
The image depicts a frost-rimmed, backlighted oak leaf situated on a dark background. The leaf's red coloration is evident, with its pointed tip and curved base suggesting that it belongs to an acorn-bearing tree.
In contrast, the stem of the leaf appears to be cut off at an angle in the bottom-right corner of the image, which may indicate that it was photographed as part of a larger composition or has been cropped for aesthetic purposes.
The frost rim surrounding the leaf creates a striking visual effect, with its delicate ice crystals adding a sense of fragility and beauty to the overall scene. The dark background serves to accentuate the colors of the leaf and the frost, creating a dramatic contrast that draws the viewer's eye to the central subject.
Overall, this image captures the intricate details of nature in a captivating way, inviting the viewer to appreciate the simple yet striking beauty of a single oak leaf on a cold winter morning.
– Spanish translation
