Reddish plants of Salsola soda (Suaeda maritima, Suaeda iranshahrii var. arabica) on littoral of Purple Island (Jazirat Bin Ghanim). Al Khor, Qatar
Album 1481: Doha - Zubara, Qatar, September 17 - 20, 2014
The image showcases a cluster of reddish plants growing in a sandy environment, likely situated near the shore. The plant's purple hue is accentuated by the shadows cast on its underside and the surrounding sand, creating a striking visual effect.
In the background, the dry brown ground provides a stark contrast to the vibrant coloration of the plant. The overall scene suggests that the image was captured during an overcast day or in early morning/late afternoon light, as indicated by the shadows cast on the ground and the plants' leaves.
The image is part of a larger collection of photos documenting flora found on Purple Island (Jazirat Bin Ghanim) in Al Khor, Qatar. The photograph was taken on September 19, 2014. – AI vision
